We have been only in summer so we cannot comment on other seasons, but I should think that the apartment and surrounding areas would be worth a visit at any time of the year, Summer

There is a bathing area just across the road from the apartment. A public pool is 5 min walk away (not sampled)

Local shopping is sufficient for daily needs, with some touristy outlets. Lucerne has everything including upmarket galleries and antique shops, and of course jewellery and watches, Fashion, Souvenir

Transport museum in Lucerne is worth a visit

Heirassa festival in June gives the best in Swiss folk music. At a higher level, the James Galway flute festival at Stella Matutina was most enjoyable

Although no longer Michelin-starred the food was superb (June 2014). The newer Park Grill at the same hotel was not quite up to this standard, unfortunately.

Each is well worth a visit. Rigi (up on the cogwheel railway from Vitznau, down by cable car) is delightful in embracing both adjacent farmland and the lake. Pilatus (same mode of transport each way) is more isolated at the peak but with better all-round views. The Stanserhorn has excellent views over farmland towards the Alps.

Car transport is easy though the road from Küssnacht to Weggis could do with being widened!, Car

Die Möglichkeiten ab Hertenstein, sei es mit dem Rad, zu Fuß, mit dem Schiff oder der Bergbahn sind einfach phantastisch, die Landschaften in der Schweiz paradiesisch, so dass wir uns von den hohen Preisen nicht abschrecken lassen und wiederkommen werden., Couples, Seniors
