«The apartment was everything I was looking for in a holiday home: a bright, immaculate, lovely, comfortable, quiet nest with a private terrace and one of the best views of Luzern. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking supplies. The host was very helpful, responding to questions immediately. «Alles in allem ein empfehlenswertes Appartment, in dem man bequem eine Woche zubringen kann. Die Lage war, wenn auch nicht sonderlich zentral, sehr schön. Der Balkon war herrlich und die Beschreibung war 100% korrekt. ...sind schon ein paar, zum Teile engere, Treppen die man das Gepäck hochtragen muss. Ausserdem kann es im Sommer sehr unangenehm warm unterm Dach werden. Zum Glück gab es einen Ventilator.»

«Bien équipé, autant en ce qui concerne la cuisine que les informations sur la ville (en allemand et en anglais). Hôte sympathique et de bon conseil. Très calme, bien que situé à quelques minutes à pied de la vieille ville. Magnifique vue sur les Alpes et une portion du lac, avec les remparts de Lucerne au 1er plan. Appartement bien rénové, spacieux et lumineux. Nous n'en avons pas trouvé.»

«I almost didn’t want to write this review and let the secret out but Peter’s apartment was an great hidden gem. The location can’t be beat - there is a beautiful view of the mountains, the old town wall, and even part of the lake from the balcony. It’s in a very quiet little neighborhood and just a short walk from the old town. The apartment itself had a nice big bathroom (hard to find in Europe) and a kitchen that allowed us to make breakfast and lunch a couple days. It was a great home base after a long day of exploring. The only small suggestion I would have is to provide a fan for sleeping at night; it can get a little stuffy and we didn’t want to let bugs in (we were there in September).»

«Very clean and well equipped apartment. Bed was ok but could really use some firmer pillows. Towels provided were adequate but not the softest. We found this also at an apartment we stayed in when we were in Wengen. I don’t know if it’s not common practice to use fabric softener in Switzerland, or if it’s because laundry tends to be lined dried and not in a dryer. Not a big deal, but I’m just used to softer towels. Very spacious and bright apartment for a studio style loft. Loved the balcony with a great view of the old wall. Nice to be able to sit out there in the morning with my coffee or with a cold drink after a long day of hiking/sightseeing. The apartment is on the top floor so there was 4 flights of stairs to walk up, which is ok except when you have to carry luggage up and down. Also with it being on the top floor it was quite hot at times. Opening the windows helped, but a fan would be nice to help with air circulation.»

«Eine fantastische Unterkunft in idealer Lage, um Luzern und Umgebung zu erkunden und kennenzulernen. Die Familie hat sich sehr lieb um uns gekümmert. Sie waren stets geduldig, verständnisvoll und hatten sich immer Zeit für uns genommen wenn wir ein Anliegen an sie hatten. Wir fühlten uns bestens umsorgt! Knatschende Treppe von Etage 1 hinauf zu Etage 2, unserer Ferienunterkunft. Erdgeschoss wurde noch noch renoviert. Und Baustelle hinten, schräg gegenüber unserem Balkon.»

«This top floor apartment is modern, clean, spacious and beautifully situated. The balcony view is a highlight, with a 180 degree uninterrupted view across Lucerne to the lake and surrounding snowy mountains and the distant alps. We saw some splendid sunrises and sunsets from the balcony chairs. The owners are warm and friendly, helping us with our baggage on arrival and offering practical information on getting around and local facilities. They live below, but we felt entirely independent in ‘our’ apartment. There is plenty of natural light and all the practical aspects like furnishings, coffee making, cooking and bathroom are of a high standard. The view from the balcony. There is an ever-changing tapestry of colours and views - morning mist across the lake, clouds around the mountains, evening light across the town wall - plenty of scope for the photographer. The immediate surroundings are a grassed area leading across to the impressive town walls. There is a local community sports centre and a farm, not immediately obvious but within only a few minutes walk. With its lamas and long haired cattle amongst others, it is an ideal evening stroll and perfect for children to view. The ease of getting around is key. Although the apartment is in a quiet area above the city and Lucerne is quite hilly, the no 9 bus runs directly from a stop within 5 minutes level walk (Bramberg) straight to the main bus and railway station and lake boat terminus (all co-located) in just 10 minutes. This made the arrival with luggage, shopping and connecting to day trips by rail and on the lake, or just being in the historic and business centre, quite painless (and free if travelling with a Swiss Rail Travel Pass). «Lovely apartment with beautiful views overlooking the old walls and gates, the lake and the mountains. Very close to the city center. Everything was perfect! Very friendly and helpful owners. We have been there with our dog and even that has not been a problem. Swiss people are so dog friendly. Everything was perfect. No complaints at all. Just looking forward to go again.»

«Ganz gut hat uns gefallen die herrliche Aussicht auf den Pilatus. Die vielen Treppen bis hinunter waren ok nur hinauf nach einem langen Tag ein bisschen muehsam. Es muessen Leute sein die fit sind und wir waren das, da wir sehr viel unterwegs waren und jeden Tag viel gelaufen sind. Im ganzen es war scoen gemuetlich!»
