Cable cars or chairlifts lead from Champéry to the “Portes du Soleil” ski area, the largest linked international ski area in the world. Skiers and snowboarders have 12 ski areas - 4 in Switzerland and 8 in France - equipped with 194 ski lifts and 650 km of slopes. A snowpark will delight free-style enthusiasts. In addition, adventure seekers can try ice-climbing, snowshoe outings or ski tours, or (try their hand at) discover paragliding. The resort also benefits from an indoor skating rink open all year round as well as a curling hall.
The Pas de Chavanette piste, often called "Le Mur Suisse", is one of the steepest in the world. Only 1 km long, the descent has a vertical drop of almost 400 m with a gradient of up to 50 degrees.

Summer activities
Over 800 km of walking and hiking trails are available. Hikers will appreciate the tour of the Dents-du-Midi, a wild limestone (mountain range) between the Val du Trient and the Val d'Illiez, with three or four day stages, following the 40 km route far from roads and agglomerations. The bike park has more than 300 km of marked trails offering different degrees of difficulty. Also available: an equestrian center, tennis courts, an indoor and an outdoor swimming pool, etc.
On the high plateau of Barme, at an altitude of 1,500 m, young and old can practice climbing. In these bewitching places, which are also suitable for family excursions, walks in the forest or picking mushrooms, stands a limestone rock 40 m high, which offers climbing routes of varying degrees of difficulty. The people of Champéry live their love for tradition and craftsmanship through its many local festivals and the election of Miss Champéry, the most beautiful cow in the valley.
